Learning From the Past

We have different reasons for joining organizations. Some are looking hookups, whether for a short time or a longer short time; some are hoping to find that someone; others are simply looking for friends. The best reason to form a group is the last (because the other 2 usually follow) and I was fortunate enough to find that group 1 year ago.

The group started unexpectedly, the founder used to be a member in another group but had a disagreement with the founder of that group. He decided to organize his own group which initially consisted of his friends and me. The foundation was based on friendship. Eventually there were almost 40 of us in that group. We were actually friends with each other and not merely acquaintances.

What I learned is that the better people know each other, the worse the misunderstandings. The group was eventually disbanded because arguments among the members became so bad that everyone was affected. No one wanted it to end but none of those involved in the arguments wanted to give in either.

teamwork Things are off to a good start here at the Guild. Friendships are just being formed. One day there will be the first misunderstanding among the members and how close we are to each other at the time will determine how bad it will be...

... and how willing we are to remain strong as a group.
